Ernest Levy Obituary

Ernest T. Levy Jr. U.S. Army Veteran of WWII; 90 Lowell Ernest T. "Sam" Levy Jr. age 90 a longtime resident of the Pawtucketville section of Lowell died Sunday morning November 4th at his residence surrounded by his family. He was the beloved husband of Simonne (Lussier) Levy. Born in Lowell, MA on March 8, 1917 he was a son of the late Ernest and Marie Louise (Beland) Levy Sr. Ernest attended Lowell Schools. Prior to his retirement in 1982 he had been employed by Raytheon of Bedford, MA for several years. He was a longtime member of the former Ste. Jeanne D' Arc Parish and a member of the Centralville Social Club. Mr. Levy was a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII serving as a Corporal with the 353rd Fighter Group in Europe. He was the recipient of the Victory Medal, European African Middles Eastern theater Campaign Ribbon. In addition to his wife his survivors include a daughter and son in law; Colette Pavin and her husband Ronald of West Chester, PA. A son Michael Levy of Lowell; two granddaughters; Jessica Pavin of PA and Sarah Pavin of NJ; a great grandson; Richard Pavin of PA; also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was also the brother of the late Bernadette Beaudry, Florence Zilk, Dorothy Arseneault, Ruth Lanier, Lorraine Bowler, Yvonne Brunelle, Girard Levy, Robert Levy, Leo Levy, Donald Levy, Maurice Levy, Roland Levy, Raymond Levy. LEVY Ernest T. "Sam" Levy Jr., 90, beloved husband of Simonne (Lussier) Levy. A U.S. Army Veteran of WWII. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday November 8th from 4 to 9 PM at the ARCHAMBAULT FUNERAL HOME 309-311 Pawtucket St. Lowell. Funeral Friday morning with a funeral mass to be celebrated at 10:30 at St. Mary Magdalen Church, Dracut. Interment will follow in the family lot at St. Joseph Cemetery, Chelmsford. Donations in memory of Ernest may be made to the VNA Hospice of Greater Lowell, P.O. Box 1965, Lowell, Ma. 01853-1965. Funeral Director Victor J. Archambault II (978) 459-9315.
