William Foster Obituary

William M. Foster WWII U.S. Army Veteran; 85 Littleton William M. Foster, 85, of Warren Street, Littleton died on November 10 at Life Crae Center of Nashoba Valley in Littleton. He was born in Brooklyn, NY on September 15, 1922 son of the late Ernest and Julia (Stokes) Foster. He grew up in Brooklyn and Queens and was a graduate of Brooklyn Technical High School and later The Cooper Union College and received a Masters Degree in Computer Science from Raytheon Institute. Mr. Foster served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during WWII. He made his home in Acton for many years and then Littleton from 1979. Bill worked as a mechanical engineer and software engineer for Sperry in Long Island and later Raytheon for 24 years retiring at age 74. He was a member of The Isaac Davis Chapter of Toastmasters, Gideon's, and Faith Evangelical Free Church in Acton. His is survived by his wife of 27 years, Patricia (Ford) Foster of Littleton, His children Robert and his wife Lois Foster of Smithtown, NY, Charles and his wife Rene Bradshaw of Hollis NH, Andrew and his wife Kerri Bradshaw of Littleton, Geraldine and Paul Bertozzi of Townsend, Ellen and David Constant and their 3 children, Kathleen and Art Gould and their 2 children of Georgia and Linda Foster. He is also survived by his grandchildren Nicholas and Charli Bradshaw, Amanda and Katelyn Bertozzi, Micah, Caleb, and Anna Bradshaw, and Christopher and Laura Foster and a great grandson Gavin Foster. He was also the father of the late Dorothy Foster who died in 1977. FOSTER of Littleton, William M., age 85, died Nov. 10th, 2007. Visiting Hours will be held at the Badger Funeral Home, 347 King St. Littleton on Thursday 7-9 p.m. with A Memorial Service at Faith Evangelical Free Church, Hosmer Street, Acton on Friday at 1. p.m. Burial will be on Friday at 11 a.m. at Westlawn Cemetery Littleton, www.badgerfuneralhome.com

Bill was a kind and very decent man with a quiet sense of humor. I will miss hearing the way he said "Patricia," when talking about his wife - he spoke her name with love.
