Annette Avila Obituary

Annette O. (Blanchette) Avila longtime Nashua resident, Lowell native; 94 NASHUA, NH Annette O. (Blanchette) Avila, 94, of Nashua, NH, died Wednesday, November 28, 2007, at her home. Mrs. Avila was born in Lowell, MA, on Feb. 23, 1913, a daughter of the late Alfred and Marie Louise (Mathon) Blanchette. She was the widow of Frank C. Avila, who died April 19, 2003. They had enjoyed 69 years of marriage. Mrs. Avila had been a longtime Nashua resident. Annette had worked for Uxbridge & Bunting Mills for many years, and then Thom McCann in Nashua for 27 years, until she retired in 1972. She was a communicant of Blessed John XXIII at Infant Jesus Church. Mrs. Avila was predeceased by four sisters, Regina Michaud, Henriette Blanchette, Oldea Beaudoin and Rose Bella Lagasse and five brothers, Ernest Blanchette, Leo Blanchette, Romeo Blanchette, Alfred Blanchette, and Raymond Blanchette. Annette is survived by one daughter, Marguerite Rivard and her husband, Donald of Merrimack; three granddaughters, Donna McCarthy, Janice Sebek and her husband, Keith, and Lori Rivard; four great-grandchildren, Christopher McCarthy, Kimberly McCarthy, Brian McCarthy, and Tanya Sebek; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, December 2, 2007 from 4 to 7 P.M. in the ANCTIL-ROCHETTE & SON FUNERAL HOME, 21 Kinsley St., Nashua. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, December 3, 2007 in Blessed John XXIII at Infant Jesus Church, 121 Allds St., Nashua at 10:00 A.M. Burial will follow in St. Louis Cemetery.
