Robert F. "Macky" McNamara

Robert F. 'Macky' McNamara formerly of Lowell, avid NASCAR fan; 56 AMESBURY Robert F. "Macky" McNamara, age 56, husband of Rosemarie (Carter) McNamara, died Thursday, at the Lahey Clinic in Burlington, after a brief illness. He was born in Somerville, August 16, 1951, son of the late Howard and Annie (Ramey) McNamara. He had lived in Billerica and Lowell, before moving to Amesbury in September. Mr. McNamara was employed for Shea Concrete for over 25 years, currently at the Amesbury Plant. He was an avid NASCAR fan, and had worked in the pit crew of a Busch East team. He was also proud of his Irish heritage. Besides his wife, he is survived by, two daughters, Amy Jo McNamara of Lowell, and Samantha McNamara of Amesbury; two sisters, Louise Wedge and her husband, Richard of Billerica, and Carol Moore of West Bridgewater. He is also survived by six grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Ronald Ramey. McNAMARA Of Amesbury, formerly of Lowell and Billerica, Nov. 29, Robert F. Billerica at 8 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be held in St. Theresa Church, Billerica at 9 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited.
