Elise Palmer Obituary

Elise (Obey) Palmer Chelmsford, lived in Lynn for 7 decades; 87 CHELMSFORD Mrs. Elise (Comeau) (Obey) Palmer, 87, of Chelmsford, formerly of Lynn, died Thursday, in St. Petersburg, Fla., after a brief illness She was the wife of Reginald "Reggie" Palmer, and the late Edward Obey; and daughter of the late Louis "Adolphe" and Nellie (Thimot) Comeau. She was born in Nova Scotia, Canada but had been a resident of Lynn for 70 years, before moving to Chelmsford 15 years ago. She attended St Jean's Schools, and had been a past president of and active in the Lincoln School PTA. She is survived by Reggie Palmer her husband of 30 years; her four sons, Frank Obey and his fiancée, Cindy Peterson of Lynn, Robert and his wife, Muriel Obey of Ledyard, Conn., John and his wife, Mary Obey of Lynn, Richard and his wife, Rosemary Obey of Lynnfield; two daughters, Janet Williams and her fiancée, Michael Yates of California, June and her husband, James Curley of Chelmsford; three stepdaughters, Priscilla Dotolo of Derry NH, Carol Pearsons of Wakefield, and Shirley Holtsberg of Malden, three sisters, Eva Champigny, Terry Hebert, and Helen Champigny, all of Lynn; one brother, Charlie Comeau of Lynn, 19 grandchildren, 9 step-grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren; and several step-great-grandchildren. She was also the sister of the late Anne O'Connor, Mel Comeau, Alphie Comeau, Nellie Cormier, George Comeau, Rose Brown, and Edith Guptill. PALMER Elise (Comeau) (Obey), 87. Funeral will be held from the St. Laurent Funeral Home, 554 Western Ave., Lynn, on Tuesday at 9:30 am followed by a Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church Lynn at 11 am with her nephew Reverend Tom Champigny as celebrant. Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Monday from 4-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to the Lynn Cancer Association, P.O. Box 3153, Peabody, MA 01960.
