Rose Paduano Obituary

Rose A. Paduano of Groton, avid Red Sox Fan; 100 GROTON Rose A. (Cantino) Paduano, a resident of Groton since 1957, died Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2007, at the Westford House in Westford, at the age of 100. She was the wife of Frank Paduano, who died in 1953. Born in Littleton, on June 1, 1907, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Carmilla (DiMassi) Cantino. Rose worked in the family restaurant The Calientie in Westford, until her husband's death. She then moved in with her daughter, Rose and her husband, Jim Black where she helped raise their four children, and where she resided until her brief illness. A longtime member of Saint Catherine's Church in Westford. She was an avid Red Sox Fan all her life. Rose is survived by her two daughters, Nancy Cote of Nashua, NH, and Rose Black with whom she resided, a brother, Phil Cantino of Ayer, a sister, Anna DiDonato of Littleton, eight grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews. Rose was known by many as Grammy and will be surely missed. PADUANO Died December 5, 2007, Rose Paduano, 100, of Groton. Friends may call at the HEALY FUNERAL HOME, 57 N. MAIN ST., WESTFORD, MA on Monday, December 10 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Her funeral mass will be celebrated Tuesday, December 11 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Catherine's Church, 107 N. Main St., Westford, followed by burial in St. Catherine's Cemetery. Friends who wish may make memorial contributions in her name to the Westford House, 3 Park Drive, Westford, MA 01886.
