Marie Polizzatti Obituary

Marie Polizzatti lived in Haverhill for eight decades; 89 HAVERHILL Marie (DiFruscio) Polizzatti, 89, of Haverhill's Bradford section, died Thursday evening, December 6, at Wingate at Haverhill. Mrs. Polizzatti was born in Lawrence, MA, on March 14, 1918, daughter of the late Dominic and Vincenza (Masi) DiFruscio. She had been a resident of Haverhill since 1925, and previously resided in Lawrence. She was educated in the Haverhill schools, and Haverhill High School. Mrs. Polizzatti had been employed in the Haverhill Public School System for 17 years, until her retirement in 1979. During World War II, she had been employed at the Wood Mill in Lawrence. She was a member of Sacred Hearts Parish, Bradford. Her surviving family members are her husband, Rosario J. Polizzatti of Haverhill's Bradford; her son, David Polizzatti and his wife, Sharon J. of South Berwick, Maine; her grandson, Brian M. Polizzatti of Melrose; her great-granddaughter, Giovanna Polizzatti of Pepperell; her sister, Ida Hill of Bradford; her brother, Mark DiFruscio of Bradford; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was also the mother of the late Samuel J. Polizzatti and the late Mark A. Polizzatti, and was the sister of the late Elizabeth Radulski, Ann D'Arcangelo, and Dominic DiFruscio, Jr. Her Funeral will be held Tuesday, Dec. 11, at 9 A.M. from the C. Frank Linnehan & Son Bradford Funeral Home, 52 Salem St., Bradford, followed by a Funeral Mass of Christian Burial at 10 A.M. in Sacred Hearts Church, 165 So. Main St., Bradford. Calling hours at the funeral home will be held Monday from 1 P.M. to 4 P.M.
