Doris Turner Obituary

Doris C. Turner of Townsend, formerly of Dracut; 80 LEOMINSTER Doris C. (Grady) Turner, 80, of Townsend and formerly of Dracut, died Monday December 10th at Health Alliance Hospital in Leominster. She was the wife of the late Ralph C. Turner. Born in Lowell on September 27, 1927, she was a daughter of the late Albert and Hedwidge (Tremblay) Grady. Doris was an avid reader and enjoyed card games, bingo, and her family. She also enjoyed taking trips to Foxwoods. Mrs. Turner is survived by two sons Richard Turner and his wife Helen of Dracut and David Turner of Townsend; a daughter JoAnne Van Gemert and her husband Warren of Townsend; three brothers Roger Grady of Lowell, Roland Grady of Lowell, and Donald Grady of Chelmsford; three grandchildren Nikki Lavoie and her husband Eric, Melanie Manne and her husband Joe, and Adam Van Gemert; four great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by a daughter Marsha Cameron. TURNER of Townsend, Doris C. (Grady), age 80, died Dec. 10, 2007 in Leominster. Friends may call at the DRACUT FUNERAL HOME, 2159 Lakeview Avenue, DRACUT, on Wednesday from 5 until 8 PM. Her funeral service will be held from the funeral home on Thursday at 9 AM, followed by her Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10 AM at St. Mary Magdalen Church in Dracut. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Chelmsford. Memorial contributions can be made in her name to the American Lung Association of Massachusetts, Inc., 460 Totten Pond Road, Suite 400, Waltham, MA 02451. I am very sorry to hear of the loss of your mother. Your mom was a wonderful person. I am so happy to have had Doris as a friend. I will hold onto & treasure the memories of the many bingo nights full of laughter & of course, our unforgettable Las Vegas trip.

She will be sadly missed in my heart, but not forgotten.
