Joseph Poulin Obituary

AUGUSTA -- A concelebrated Mass of Christian burial for Joseph P. Vincent Poulin, who died Feb. 19, 2009, was offered Feb. 24, 2009, at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, with the Rev. Ralph Boisvert, parochial vicar, officiating. He was assisted by the Rev. William Modlin, parochial vicar.

Organist was David Stewart and soloist was Jeannette Beaulieu. Altar server was Cameron Wight.

The first reading was given by his son-in-law, Jonathan Dyer, and the second reading was given by his daughter, Sylvia Dyer.

The Offertory gifts were presented by Mrs. Patricia Gagne, Nicki Wight, Kathy Alley, Karen Johnson and Michael Gagne.

Words of remembrance were offered by daughter Celeste Brown, and a poem was read by granddaughter Emily Jo Bilodeau.

Honorary bearers, from Cushnoc Senior Citizens, were Martin and Lucille Cloutier.

Pallbearers were Jon Dyer, Jeff Brown, Roland Sherman, William Bilodeau, Larry Dingus and Peter Tozier.

There were representatives from St. Michael Parish, Abnaki Council 334 Knights of Columbus, Abnaki Assembly 346 Fourth-degree Knights of Columbus, Maine Veterans Home, Calumet Club, Fitzgerald-Cummings American Legion Post 2 and Cushnoc Senior Citizens.

Prayer services were offered Monday evening at the funeral home by members of Abnaki Council Knights of Columbus, Calumet Club, Fitzgerald-Cummings American Legion Post 2 and Abnaki Assembly Fourth-degree Knights of Columbus.

Members of the Abnaki Assembly Fourth-degree Knights of Columbus Color Corps provided the honor guard at the funeral home and at the church.

The chalice was presented to Mr. Poulin's wife, Claire (Gagne) Poulin, by Sir Knight Donald Brawn.

Spring burial will occur in St. Mary's Cemetery, Manchester.

Arrangements were by Plummer Funeral Home, 16 Pleasant St., Augusta.
