Joseph Giordano Obituary

NORTH ANSON -- Joseph Giordano Sr., 59, went home to the Lord after a long battle with health issues on Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2009, at his home in North Anson.

Joseph was born Nov. 25, 1949, in Brooklyn, N.Y., the son of the late Joseph and Helen (Harris) Giordano. He was raised by his grandparents, the late Edward and Ida Menzel.

Joseph was employed as a truck driver in the auto parts industry for many years. He had been a resident of North Anson for the past two years and previously lived in New Jersey.

He was a loving father, and great uncle and a wonderful brother. He would do anything to help his family. He enjoyed telling stories of his life and always had an answer for everything. He will be sadly missed by us all.

He is survived by two sons, Joseph Giordano Jr. and Jeremy Giordano of New Jersey; a brother, Joseph Cancemi and his partner, Marie DeJesus, of North Anson; a sister, Dina Richard of Madison; and several nephews and a niece.

Visiting hours will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, March 4, with a funeral service at 8 p.m., at the Mack Memorial Funeral Home, 1245 Paterson Plank Road, Secaucus, N.J.
