Thelma Sylvester Obituary
Thelma was born in Albion on July 27, 1917, the daughter of Henry and Charlotte (Barney) Taylor. She grew up in Albion and attended Bessey High School and Thomas College. Upon her marriage to Adelbert Sylvester, she moved to Eustis, where she participated in The Eastern Star and Grange. In 1968 she moved back to Albion and was employed as an executive secretary by Hill Top School for disabled children. After retiring, Thelma spent much of her time with her family. She enjoyed reading and going to the library. She had many beloved pets throughout the years, especially Sing.
She was predeceased by her husband, Adelbert; and her son, Johnathan Sylvester.
Thelma will be greatly missed by her remaining family of five daughters, Sandra Carl, Christine Williams, Deborah Taylor, Rebecca Poulin and Dana Liebowitz; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a nephew.
There will be no services at this time.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Thelma's memory to your favorite humane society.
Thelma's family would like to thank the doctors and nurses on the second floor at MaineGeneral Medical Center, Thayer Unit, for their consistent kindness in caring for their mother.
