Richard Starbird Obituary

PRIMERA, Texas -- Richard E. Starbird, of Primera, formerly of Strong, Maine, passed away Feb. 11, 2009.

Richard was born March 7, 1965, the son of Judith M. Lowe of North Anson, Maine, and Dale Starbird of Waterbury, Conn.

He was educated in Strong schools and graduated from Mount Abram High School in 1984. He spent four years in the Navy, was home in Strong for a short time and moved to Iowa and then settled in the Rio Grande Valley in Texas. He spent the last seven years as a commercial account executive for Time Warner Industries in Harlingen and loved every minute of it.

He is sadly missed by his wife, Maria Christina Starbird, and the angels of his life, his granddaughters, Gracie and Emily Gutierre, as well as two stepdaughters, Aidee and Isabelle Garcia of Harlingen. He is especially missed by his mother, Judy, and sisters Debbra Hinkley, Sheryl Starbird and Betty Roy; brother Robert Starbird; and half siblings Kelly, Kenny, Kevin and Kim Starbird. He is also missed by his maternal grandmother Jean Carlow and several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

There will be a memorial service at 1 p.m. March 7 at the North Anson United Methodist Church.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the North Anson United Methodist Church, c/o Betsy Bolvin, P.O. Box 106, North Anson, ME 04958.
