I am so sorry for your terrible loss. I worked with Kim many many years ago now at Sebasco Lodge in Maine, where she was the best waitress in the dining room. Her quiet competence and strength was remarkable even at 21. I am so saddened that she is gone from this world. All best to her whole family.

Dear Tracy and families of Kim,
I am so sorry to hear of your loss of Kim. I have wonderful memories of Kim's smile and energy. The wonderful "big sister" I was in awe of her dives and swimming ability. I'm pleased to have a glimpse of her life. She was an accomplished woman, who touch many lives.

Mrs. Partyka, Dr. Hancock and families - My sincere sympathy to you all. I think of Kim's happy smiles, laughter and wit. It is nice to read that she shared that with everyone after high school. And ballroom dancing - that's great! Such a great spirit, such an unfairness. My prayers are with you all. God bless.

Saddened by the loss. It is startling at how quickly time passes; In my mind, Kim will always be a 13 year girl playing in the attic over the garage at the house on Blanchard Road. Thinking of you in your time of loss.

Judy, Tracy, Dan, and Jen ... my heart is breaking for you and for Kim's family. Please know that my prayers and thoughts are with you. I was just recently looking at pictures of Kim at our wedding, she was 4 years old that day. She did a great job as flower girl! I have wonderful memories of Kim as she grew from a little girl into a young lady. I was happy to read about her life as an adult. She was a remarkable person and touched many lives. Although I’d not seen her (or any of you) for many years you are all a part of my life.

Dear Dr. Hancock and family,
Kim was such a smart, caring person who always had such a great laugh, a smile on her face, and such a great attitude about life, even after the original diagnosis so many years ago. She was a brave soul, a lesson on how to carry on and treat every day as special. I'll never forget the sound of her heels coming down the hall at work, for I always knew a kind word, even a simple "hi" came with them. She was a great woman, wonderful mother, wife and nurse, and she will definitely be missed. Much love to all, but especially the boys. It's hard to lose a parent so young. I've been there. Just keep going - that's what she'd want.

My Dear Kim,
I am so sorry that we never had a chance to meet. I know that I would have liked you. I have come to know you through our children. That speaks volumes. We are our kids.....
My name is Jane Thompson, I am Kelsey Thompson's mother. She is seeing one of Stephen's friends, Colter. You were planning to meet her at school in a few weeks. From what I have learned, I am sorry that she never got that chance, I think she would have been the better for that. She thinks a lot of your son. She said that he was going to East Carolina, that is where she plans to go. If so, I am glad that she will have a friend. Your husband spoke to me in length the other day and made me feel so comfortable in turning my daughter over to you for the weekend. I really know that we would have gotten along. Kim, I feel that I am the worst for never meeting you. I realize that this may not be the place to say these things however I want you and your family to know what a testomony and legacy that you have left in your family. May you rest knowing that they are strong. God put you in our lives at the last minute for a reason. I thank him for that. Even though we may not know what God's plans are there is a reason.

Kim was a wonderful friend to grow up with. Our family trips were so much fun and still something the Goves all refer to as highlights and adventures. There was always so much laughter. Kahtadin and skiing at Mt. Abrahms! Kim was fun, thoughtful and always true to herself. She will be missed--though her spirit will live through all those whom she touched. My heart goes out to her family.

We only had a chance to meet and be around Kim that one day at the Citadel, what a wonderful person she seem to be.
I know she was proud of her boys.
We will be seeing Jim (Jimmy) at the Citadel. I hope he will call on us if he needs anything.

It was with great saddness that we learned of Kim's passing. Kim showed a zest and love of life and family that was unequalled by any other. Her legacy is in Jimmy and Steven. Her life continues in all of your hearts.

We just wanted to let all of the family know that our thoughts and hearts are with them. Kim touched everyone's lives in such a unique and special way that words cannot express how much she will be missed. The sorrow of the faithful is not that of permanent loss, but the tender sense of sadness that comes in saying goodbye for now to someone we love. May today's sorrow give away to the peace and comfort of God's love.

We are so saddened by Kim's death. I really loved Kim and all the wonderful chats we used to have when we were out in the yard. She had so much courage and always smiling and upbeat. I don't believe I ever heard one complaint from Kim. Jim, we are right here next door to you, and if you ever need anything, please don't hesitate to call. We're here most of the time and would be happy to let Bear in and out, get the mail,or anything that could help you out. Please call on us when you need something.
You and the boys are in our thoughts and prayers, and Kim had been in our prayers for some time.
May God bless you all.

It is an honor to have known and been touched by Kim. She was such a wonderful person, and professional nurse and manager. I could always count on her genuine desire to push for the best for her patients. Her smile could light up a room, and I remember how she cherished and loved her children, as we would often compare notes on raising "our boys". She put everyone before herself, and gave more to the world in her shortened lifetime than most who live to an old age.
