Forrest Legge Obituary

Forrest Graham Legge, 89 ROUND ROCK, Texas -- Forrest Graham Legge, 89, passed away on Feb. 24, 2009, in Round Rock, Texas. Forrest was born in Canning, Nova Scotia on May 27, 1919, to Floyd and Elizabeth Legge. He lived in Gray for many years until he relocated to Texas in 1995. Forrest served in the United States Army from July 1942 until January 1946 with the 236th signal battalion and was stationed in India during the World War II. He was a member of the Shriner unit at Kora Temple in Lewiston since 1951 where he served in several different positions including the Legion of Honor and the Commandry. He was a wonderful person in every way and he'll be dearly missed by all those who knew him. Forrest is preceded by his parents, Floyd and Elizabeth Legge; and his two brothers, Carroll and Preston Legge. He is survived by nephews, Glenn Legge Sr. and Nancy Legge (Elmendorf, Texas), and Peter Legge (East Palo Alto, Calif.); and grandnephews / nieces, Glenn and Deborah Legge, Rachel Chadwick, Matthew Chadwick, Timothy Chadwick (Jonestown, Texas), Tyler Legge (Jonestown, Texas), Christine and Jason Glamm, Sean Glamm, Katrina Keller (Pflugerville, Texas), Krista Chase (Elgin, Texas), Sarah Ashe-Legge (South Portland), Erica Legge, Whitney Legge and Austin Legge (East Palo Alto, Calif.). Services will be held graveside at Forest City Cemetery on Saturday, March 21, at 11 a.m.
