Bimpy was one in a million. I still remember those times when he worked for my family at Hoffman Bros. He was a very kind and caring person with a smile that could not be forgotten. His racing days at Dorney Park are unforgetable. He was a fearless driver, crossing over that finish line one way or the other, whether while rolling over, upside down,or in reverse. I am one of many that will miss such a great guy..

Grew up watching the races at Dorney Park. Hot dogs, trips to the park at intermission, looking though the tin fence to see the cars in the pits, seeing the cars enter the pits as we went from my dads car to our seats.....what a period in time.......priceless. With that, Bimpy Marx was a name I always remembered and his car I always looked for coming out of the second turn pit gate. He will be missed by many

Sadly missed but never forgotten, Bimp was a great driver and fun person at the race track. I was the welder at dorney and many saturday nites he helped me by collecting the welding money for me. Those years were really great times in racing. Bimp was one of the greats of that time. May the Lord's face shine upon you and give you peace.

Gary, My deepset sympathy to you and your family, I am so sorry for your loss. I will never forget the day your Dad came home and your Mom was sitting on the porch and your Dad called their little dog, "Peanut" (If I remember correctly) and the little dog came RUNNING over to him down the porch steps and Bimpy gave him his paycheck and the little dog RAN straight back to your Mom with it and she took it from his mouth LOL! I remember them laughing, we all laughed so hard. May God give you peace and comfort thru this time of loss.
One of many favorite verses....
Fear thou not; for I am with the; be not dismayed: for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee: yea, I will help thee, yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness, Isaiah 41:10

To Bimpy's Family:
I remember going to see Bimpy at Dorney Park Speedway in the early 60s. Although I was just a mere child of 6 at the time, he was a favorite driver of our family and I remember routing for him for years and what a good sportsman he was. I have some old photos I still keep in a memory book. I remember seeing him at an Old Timer's signing a number of years ago and it brought back some wonderful memories of him racing with Zorro Engler, Bruno Hoffman, and many others. He has joined the racers in Heaven with Tex flagging him home. The racing community has lost one of their stars - but that means one more star in shining in Heaven tonight. Race for the checkered Bimpy and God Speed.

We were sorry to hear that Bimpy passed away. We remember all the good times we had at Quakerwoods Campground, sitting around the fires and always there was coffee, Peanuts and Little Girl. He was always there for everyone. He will be missed.

Bimpy used to come over to my Grandfathers garage Miller brothers and pick me up in a tow truck when he worked for Hoffman Brothers on S. 4th St. Allentown and I would ride with him to places and pick up cars to take to the junk yard I could not have been more than 8 or 9 yrs old at the time. I will miss him very much and am sorry for your loss. David Miller (poncho)
