Rosemary Marx

Rosemary "Rosie" Marx, of Antigo, died on March 18, 2026 at Aspirus Langlade Hospital. She was 83 years old. She was born on March 15, 1943 in Antigo, a daughter of John and Martha (Lenzner) Borowczyk. She married John Marx on April 11, 1964 at St. John Catholic Church in Antigo.

She was a graduate of Antigo High School class of 1961. Following graduation she moved to Milwaukee and attended the Cosmetology and Beauty Culture School and was employed at Sally's Beauty Salon. In 1964, she returned to Antigo and was a beautician at the Princess Beauty Shop. She purchased the shop in 1978 and owned and operated it until her retirement in 2000.

She was a devoted member of St. John Catholic Church. For years she enjoyed the making prayer shawls and ranger rosaries with the ladies groups.

Rosemary had a way of sharing her unique creativity and laughter. She enjoyed, knitting, crocheting, gardening and quilting. She had a special gift for making Christmas and Easter memorable and joyful for her family. Rosie was generous with her time and talents, often sharing the bounty from her vegetable and flower gardens. She showed her strength and strong-will through challenges in her life and support for those in need. She will always be remembered for her abundant faith, loving nature, and fierce personality.

Survivors include her husband of 61 years, John; a daughter, Connie (David) Behrendt of DePere; three grandchildren, Travis Moser of Suamico, Amber Moser of Green Bay, and Kaitlyn Moser of Green Bay; step-grandchildren, Samuel Behrendt of Green Bay and Madeline Lund of De Pere; great-grandsons, Rylee and Lucas Moser; step-great-grandchildren, David and Charlie Lund, Norah, Isla, and Solomon Paycer; and a brother-in-law, Edward Theisen of Antigo.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Della Marx; a step-granddaughter, Kelly Behrendt; four brothers, Carl (Mary Jo), Edmund (Doris), Jerome, and Raymond; two sisters, Florian Theisen and Joan Juenemann.

A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, March 25, at 11 a.m. at St. John Catholic Church, Antigo with the Very Reverend Joel Sember officiating. Entombment will take place at the Queen of Peace Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 24 at the Bradley Funeral Home from 4 to 7 p.m. with a wake service at 6 p.m. Visitation will also be held on Wednesday at the church from 10 to 11 a.m. in Hoffmann Hall.
