Mark Thiex Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Bradley Funeral Home & Crematory - Antigo on Mar. 18, 2026.
Mark Thiex, age 65, of Gleason, died on March 16, 2026 at his home. He was born on October 17, 1960 in Wausau, a son of the late Arnie and Wanda (Pollock) Thiex.

Mark graduated from Bowler High School. He was a dairy farmer, and enjoyed working for Andrus Farms.

Mark loved the outdoors, spending time landscaping, plowing, planting gardens and fields, riding the four-wheeler and tractor, and going on walks with Debbie. He was proud of his hand built cabin on the edge of his property. Mark enjoyed taking care of his grandchildren, teasing them, and the bonfires, where they roasted marshmallows. He was a regular at the roundtable at Two Angels. Mark was a thoughtful and kind hearted man.

Survivors include a brother, Bruce Thiex of Hope Hull, AL; sister-in-law, Pam Thiex of Bowler, Susan Thiex of Bowler; special friend, Debbie Ackerman of Gleason; and her family, Amber Ackerman of Antigo, Michelle Ackerman of Weston, Craig (Jesslyn) Malzahn of Merrill, Miranda (Mitchell) Malzahn of Rothschild, Mark Ackerman of Rothschild, Candice Ackerman of Kenosha; Quintin Sowinski, Svea Schreiber, Azara Ackerman, Myla Janssen, Mikkel Ostrowski, Maya Herrera, Ginnie Herrara, Alberto Herrera, Sadie (Eddie) Collinsworth, Sylas, Lincoln, Sally Hull, and Judith Kapellen; friend Steve Jensen; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers, Joel Thiex, Peter Thiex, and Billy Thiex.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. This page will be updated with the details.
