Brad and Maxine:
Sorry about your son. I know that you are strong believers, as I am, and that you will continue undeterred to help others become strong believers as well. After all, it is death and life that our faith is really about.
I held a revival for the EC churches in Pitman, Schuylkill County, last week, and thought of you in that time.

I wish to extend condolences to all who knew and loved Marc. I just found out today and have been revisiting many fond and wild memories from years gone by. I will never forget the magic he, Dano, and Kevin had in the Aquabees. The Psyclone Rangers, The Creatures, and anyone who needed a fill in bass, Marc was there. Smitreski is gone too. Also, Marc was a tremendously gifted artist. A shame to lose one so young.

I just found out today that Marc passed away. Needless to say, it was a real shock. I met Marc a few years ago in the Dunkin Donuts in Hellertown. I would sometimes give him a ride to work when he worked on the south side of Bethlehem. I later found out that we were neighbors. I knew right away that he was different. We would laugh and carry on about all sorts of things. We both shared a love of computers and music. I never realized to what depth he was involved in music. I'm sorry I didn't get to know him better. I met Maureen in their front yard when she was busy sprucing up the gardens. I'll always remember him for his sense of humor and always taking the time to wave or say Hello. My heart goes out to all of you he left behind. He will be missed. RIP Buddy.......

Marc was a very gifted person. Having worked with him for several years, I'll always remember his quick wit, both with words and creativeness. As short of a time he had here on this earth, I am sure he has stamped a permanent impression on everyone he touched during his life. My heart felt condolences go out to Maureen, and Marc's family.

From the swingin’ croons of Frank Sinatra to the rippin’ surf riffs of Dick Dale, and from cocktail jazz and John Philip Sousa to The Beatles, Marc Waldman could, and did, play anything, and everything, exceptionally well.
We will always miss our Villas band mate, Marc.

First, my deepest sympathies go out to Brad, Maxine, Matthew, and the love of Marc's life, Maureen Perry. When I met Marc back in the mid eighties I never knew that this first meeting would turn into an unforgettable musical relationship that would span decades. That was when Marc, along with David D'Amelio and I became the Aquabees, a musical partnership that, above all, bore great and wonderful memories. Being that Marc and I were the rhythm section, we shared a telepathy and a synchronicity that only musicians and few people in general can understand. In a musical context we knew exactly what the other was going to do without ever having to look at each other. Marc and I became a well oiled machine on the bandstand. I cherish the thought of having that experience. Some people search their whole lives for that same type of experience and never find it. Marc was the final piece in the Aquabees puzzle. His expertise and talent completed us. He got us our first gig and helped propel the band forward. Listening to older tapes of the band make me realize how talented Marc was. He could put his own stamp and expertise on a song but never get in the way or muddle the composition. He had the taste and finesse to compliment any song and could facilitate on the bass guitar expertly. Years later he would bring this same expertise to The Villas, where we became the dynamic duo rhythm section once again. Bill Villa described us best when he said the both of us were "like an organism". Marc and I were meant to be a rhythm section. Bassist and drummer as One. I just wish that Marc had the same finesse and expertise in his private life. I know he is at peace now. God bless you my friend.

I was shocked to hear of Marc's passing. My sister and I were just reminiscing about all the good times we had with Marc at our many youth group outings and on Wed. nights, youth choir, etc. at Seibert E.C. Church. I was always impressed by Marc's musical talent as I tried to play the trumpet but just couldn't get it. The Lord really gifted him.
You are in my thoughts and prayers. May God comfort you in your time of loss.

To all who loved Marc,
Marc and Myself grew up together on the 2800 block of Elm Ct. We first met around 1977 when I was ten and he was 9.
I immediately noticed his charm, humor, and that all the kids on the block wanted to hang out with him. Especially, the Girls!!
We spent many summers riding bike, skateboarding, playing kick the can, drawing, playing music and late night movies during summer sleep overs.
I still live in the same neighborhood with my wife and Mom. Marc's old house still looks the same, and every time I drive or walk by I think of him.
Marc's spirit will live on in the old neighborhood, and in my heart, because I will never forget him as my good friend and buddy.

Music, when soft voices die
Music, when soft voices die,
Vibrates in the memory—
Odours, when sweet violets sicken,
Live within the sense they quicken.
Rose leaves, when the rose is dead,
Are heaped for the beloved's bed;
And so thy thoughts, when thou art gone,
Love itself shall slumber on.

When ever our family would go to one of the parades (Allentown - Northampton -or Emmaus) We would tell our girls to look for the man in the HoBo band with the funny wig. We would yell out your name, and eventually you would look over and give us a big smile and a wave..We will surely miss seeing you.
Brad and Maxine,
You are in our prayers. I cant even imagine what you are going through. We love you guys

Dear Brad, Maxine and Matthew,
We are truly heartbroken for you. We are praying for God's Comforter, the Holy Spirit, to be with you during this time of deep grief and pain. Remember, God keeps your tears in a bottle and in His book - Psalm 56:8.
My fondest memories of Marc were when he was just a boy. He loved the Phillies as much as I do, and we always talked about the games on Sundays. My sister Esther was his and Matthew's babysitter, but I am sure Matthew was too young to remember.
The only contacts I had with him in recent years was once when I first returned to PA in 2000. I was visiting Seibert and someone mentioned that Marc Waldman was playing the bass guitar. I went up to him afterward and introduced myself. He laughingly recalled our mutual love of the Phillies, even though he was only 5-9 years old when Dad was Pastor at Seibert. I spoke to him briefly at his grandfather Al's Memorial Service reception to express my condolences. Now he is reunited with Grandpa Al and Grandma Ruth, and I am sure they are having a truly "grand" reunion. I hope he sees my Dad there, too!
Love, Carolyn Grimm Morrow, and for Joanne Grimm and the family too. Allentown, PA

I have a short story about Marc that I wanted to share:
When Marc worked at my company, we would often talk about music. One day he mentioned that Cream would be playing Madison Square Garden. I rushed online to get tickets because the show was (obviously) sold out. I wanted to surprise my boyfriend at the time with the tickets.
I didn't tell my boyfriend what the tickets were for - I just told him we'd be going to see a "mystery" band. He was really excited - and he was even MORE excited when we got there and he realized the mystery tickets were to see Cream. We had a blast, and he told all his friends about it.
A few short weeks later, my boyfriend of five years asked me to marry him. I found out much later that it was partly because of the mystery concert that he decided to finally ask me.
I never would've bought those tickets if it weren't for Marc.
Thank you for playing a special part in my life. Rest in peace.

Marc was a good guy and a good friend. I remember fondly playing air synth to his air drums to some of that now-classic 80's music. He pursued his passion and lived doing what he loved. He will truly be remembered for that and will be missed by us all.
