I am sorry to be so late writing this--I just found out about Dr. Allen's death yesterday at church. I have been out of town and missed his obituary.
I am so sorry for your family's loss. I usually sat either in front of or behind Dr. Allen at church. We always spoke and sometimes commented on what we did (or didn't) agree with. He was a very kind man. The last time I saw him I knew he didn't feel well but there he was--trying to be strong. I will keep him and all your family in my prayers.

I did not personlly know Dr. Allen but have known Kevin his son for many years. Dr. Allen's life was full and rewarding. He has a great son and family, and did great service to his fellow man as a healer. The world needs more people like him, and we are truly diminished by his leaving this world.

My condolences to you and your family. Dr. Allen was my pediatrician when I was young. I will always remember the train that was hanging from the ceiling and the spankins I would get when I went.

My condolences to Erin Allen and Family from Mollie Nelson and Family. Erin and I went to St. Ann's together and Dr. Allen was my Dr. until I left Junior High School. I will always remember him telling my mom "All she needs is a good spanking":) Thanks and God Bless.

Our sincere sympathy goes out to the Allen Family. I loved Dr. Allen and appreciated his great concern when our daughter Emily was so ill with pnuemonia which ultimately landed her in the hospital. Because of his decision to give her gamma globin shots she is now a much healthier adult. We no longer live in Midland, but I loved seeing him driving his convertable with his mink coat on. There will not be another like him. We were blessed to have him as our pediatrician. May God Bless your family in the days ahead.
