Five years after her death from a brain injury, actress and activist Natasha Richardson continues to inspire.
The Tony Award-winning actress was born into a film and theater dynasty, the daughter of director Tony Richardson and screen icon Vanessa Redgrave, and she brought an amazing talent to every role she played.
We remember her many roles, including actress, executive producer and activist, as well as the role she played in death: warning us all about the hidden dangers of traumatic brain injury.

Following the news of Richardson's death, friends in Hollywood reflected on her career and legacy:
"For everyone who knew and loved her, Natasha's death is a terrible, devastating loss. She was a star. A great actress, a beautiful woman, a fiercely loyal friend, a brilliant and generous companion. She was an adoring and loving wife and mother. She was unique. My thoughts and prayers go out to Liam and her beautiful sons, Micheál and Danny and to all her family."

Initial reports of Natasha Richardson's tragic skiing accident, offered two bits of information that had many people perplexed. First, the actress' fall had been onto the snow-covered ground. She hadn't run into a hard upright object, like a tree, a building, or even another skier. And second, Richardson had walked away from the accident seemingly unscathed. She was even heard joking about her fall. Not until an hour or so later, when she started having headaches, did the seriousness of the situation become apparent. Read more
