Josephine Luthin Obituary
Born Josephine Mary Norica on June 2, 1918, in Philadelphia, PA, daughter of the late Pascal and Mary Sasso Norcia, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 63 years, George Luthin, who passed away in 2004.
A proud honor student at The Commerce High School in Yonkers, after graduation Josephine was an executive assistant thriving in her work during the war years. After the birth of her first child Janet, in 1946, Josephine settled in as the stay a home mom devoting all her love and energies to the welfare and happiness of her husband and three children. Josephine was fiercely loyal. She loved her work, classical music, studying and writing; a voracious reader of historical biographies, she had little time for fiction. Her's was the real world.
Josephine found her nirvana moving with George from New York to Apex in 1990. She was well loved and respected by both family and friends and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Josephine is survived by; Janet Luthin Moeller, George Luthin, Ellen Luthin; her seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Service will be held at Apex United Methodist Church, 100 S. Hughes St., Apex, Friday, March 27, 2009 at 2:00 p.m.
Memorials may be made to Apex United Methodist Church.
