Dallas E. "Del" Mays

Dallas Mays Obituary

Del was born January 18, 1947 to Emmett H. Mays Jr. and Mary Gordon Mays in Albuquerque, New Mexico and went to be with his Lord on March 2, 2009.
He served his country for 9 years in the Navy.
At the time of his death he was a Data Base Administrator at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas. Del and his wife lived in Knightdale, for 15 years.
Preceding him in death were both of his parents.
Leaving behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 41 years, Lucille Brown Mays; his sons, Brian of San Francisco, CA, Kenneth and Jason of San Antonio, TX; his brother, William Mays of Sweetwater, Texas; sister, Patricia Eddy and husband, Irving of Brazoria, Texas; and other extended family members and friends.
A memorial service was held March 6, 2009 at Brooke Army Medical Center auditorium and was officiated by Chaplain Van Dress. The memorial service was arranged by Mr. Michael Yates of BAMC.
Words cannot express how much the family appreciates all the words of comfort, love and help that has been extended to us during our time of sorrow.
In lieu of flowers donations may be given to the American Cancer Society.
