Dear Fields Family,
By chance I learned of Mr. Fields passing today and would like to extend my deepest sympathy to all of you. I remember his smiling face many times when I was child, sitting at the table for lunch with my father and Mr. Lenhart. If there are work parteners in Heaven I'm sure they are all enjoying lunch together once again.
My prayers are with you.

Warm Summer Sun

Warm summer sun,
Shine kindly here,
Warm southern wind,
Blow softly here.
Green sod above,
Lie light, lie light.
Good night, dear heart,
Good night, good night.

Dear Auntie Doris, Gloria, Deloris, Willie, Annie and Elizabeth and cousins,
Oh, how sad I am to have heard the news about Uncle Willie!! Mommie (Auntie Mabel), Tyrone, the children and I loved him so very much. I tried so very hard to be with you all today but it just did not work out for so many reasons! But, I just wanted to let you know that we as a family are all praying for you today and my heart will be with each of you at 11 a.m. during the services. When we lost my Daddy (your brother and Uncle Marshall) each of you were there for us! Mommie and I will never forget that. The dinner that was shared with us will be etched in my mind forever! The fellowship and love that was shown to us is exactly what Christ wants us to do for each other! I will always cherish the memories that I shared with you Auntie Doris and Uncle Willie and all of my wonderful cousins -- All the summer vacation times with the girls and Junnie. The wonderful encouraging words that you gave to me to help me be the woman I am today. The love of being with family -- I really believed my cousins were the sisters and brother that I never had and how blessed I was to have all of you!
Uncle Willie was a very strong hard working man who always took the time to talk and train us in the store!! I will always have fond memories and treasure my time that was spent in Niagara Falls, New York.
We must remember that God never gives us more than we can bear in life and that our life is a living testimony to others! God is always in control in any situation and will always provide for us. At this moment in our life may we all know that He is able to lift us up and help us daily! There will be times when it will be very hard and rough but then there will be times that you will remember experiences that will make you smile and laugh.
There are many children and young people who would just love to have the relationship that each of you shared with your Dad. You are blessed and so was I to have had the wonderful opportunity to partake of Uncle Willie's life!
We also need to remember that when Jesus comes back to take his children home those of us who have been faithful and have served Him eternal life will be waiting for each of us including Uncle Willie.
May God bless you all today and in the days that will follow us all. Mommie (Auntie Mabel) and I wanted to be with you today but we will be able to remember all of the precious calls, conversations and visits that we have shared with you over the years!!

With much love,

Mable Davis, Marsha' & Tyrone Porter, Tyson, Shelton, Brooklynn and Samara Porter

Bunny, Knuckles & Family, We are saddened for the loss of your dear father. He was a remarkable man with many accomplishments. He has left behind a beautiful, loving family, but his new family awaits him. Lord, take care of our dear friend's papa.

I extend my deepest sympathy in the passing of your father. As a child I have fond memories of your father having long conversations with my father, William Jones, often in his grocery store. I can just imagine that your father helped my father start his own business back in the day. As I read your dad's obituary, he truly did a lot for his community. I regret that I can't make it for his Homegoing service tomorrow. My prayers are with you and the entire family. Love, Juanita Jones Sawyer, daughter of William and Annette Jones.

To Doris and Family,
Its been a few years since I last had the pleasure to see "Willie" but I have thought of him and the family often. For many years I referred to "Willie" as a second dad to me and I think of him that way now. On behalf of Joan, Earl, Maureen and Mary Kate we offer our thoughts and prayers to you all. "Willie" was a true gentleman, mentor and leader and all of Niagara Falls will miss him.

I never met Mr. Fields, however I do know his grandson, Dr. Brian J. Hill, or as he told me his grandfather called him "Batman". If Dr. Hill is any indication of the kind of man Mr. Fields was, then I know he was genuine and dedicated to his family and friends and wanted nothing less than the best for all who came to know him. I wish to let the family know that I pray that peace sits beside you and on your shoulders at this time.

Mrs. Fields, I remember you and your family very well. You and your husband were friends of my parents, the late George and Ruby Allen. Losing a loved one to death is never easy, nor is bearing up under great pain and sorrow. May the "Father of tender mercies" and the "God of all comfort" strengthen your faith and give you the courage to face the days ahead. The Bible assures us that our Creator cares for us personally. Through his Word the Bible, he gives us comfort and hope for the future. Through prayer, he gives us peace. I am very sorry for your loss.
