It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of our dear mother, Teresa Annabelle Fields, 65, who left this earth on October 2, 2025, and received her new heavenly body. In her final moments, she was comfortably surrounded by her loving family. Her absence leaves a void in our hearts, and she will greatly be missed.

Teresa was born March 18, 1960, at Statts Mills, WV a daughter of the late Delmer Price and Ruth Frances Bowman. She loved being with her family, attending yard sales and thrift shopping, watching her favorite TV shows and her cat, Max. She was an employed at the Shoney’s of Ripley for over 20 years among other jobs.

She is survived by her husband, Gary Fields of Sandyville; Her children James H. Smith II of Ripley and Dawn (Steve) Fore of Reedy; stepson, Jeffrey Fields of Rocky Knob; siblings Debra Koon of Ripley, Patricia Casto (Carol) of Long Hollow, Tammy Kessel (Ritchie) of Ripley, David (Jennie) Bowman of Sandyville and Mary Bowman of Ripley. She also leaves behind three grandchildren she loved dearly Brianna Smith of Ripley, Sawyer Fore of Reedy and Holly Garnes Pasiley. She is also survived by a nephew T.J. Bowman and nieces Makayla Shamblin and Angela Gandee.

In addition to her parents, Teresa was preceded in death by a very special brother-in-law Harold Koon, great-nephew Wyatt Akers and her first husband, James H. Smith I.

In honoring Teresa’s wishes a graveside service will be held 1 p.m. Sunday, October 5th at the Morgan Cemetery on Ravenswood Pike. Online memories and condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.waybrightfuneralhome.com
