Joseph Nasca Obituary

Joseph C. Nasca passed away November 2, 2007 in Millard Fillmore Gates Circle. Born August 7, 1921 in Buffalo he was the son of Philip and Florence Boscalia Nasca. Joseph served in the US Army during WW II. He worked for Harrison Radiator where he was a foreman for 22 years retiring in 1983. Joseph was a member of the Pendleton Lions Club, G-9 Club and Mended Hearts, he was one of the founders of the Lockport Chapter. He enjoyed golfing, bowling and woodworking. Joe was also an elder at the First Presbyterian Church in Lockport and served on the Board of Directors at Lockport Memorial Hospital for 13 years. Joseph is survived by his wife of 34 years Edith Reynolds Nasca of Lockport; father of Dr. David Nasca and Deborah (Duane) Hakes, both of California; step-father of David Hulshoff of Buffalo, Jeffrey (Carole) Hulshoff and Virginia (Thomas) Mulvey, both of Lockport; grandfather of nine and great grandfather of six; brother of Phyllis (Jim) Bochiechio of Florida and the late Anthony Nasca, Nunzio Nasca and Mary Palmeri; also survived by several nieces and nephews. There will be no prior visitation. A memorial service will be celebrated Saturday, December 1, 2007 at 11 AM in the First Presbyterian Church, 21 Church Street, Lockport. Memorials to the church and to Lockport Memorial Hospital, 521 East Avenue, Lockport, NY 14094 would be appreciated by the family.

There was no better uncle than Uncle Joe. Tears are in my eyes!!! I love you and will always miss you! Some of my earliest happy memories were at your house putting on theater in the basement and having my first ever piece of cheesecake at your home at family reunions. You were the Dad I didnt have to hug once my Dad was gone.
