Winifred St. Clair Obituary

SUSSEX - Winifred L. St. Clair, 87, of Sussex, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 28, 2008, at Newton Memorial Hospital. Born in Vernon, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Winifred Bird Lewis. Mrs. St. Clair had lived in Sussex County all of her life.

She had worked at The Sussex County Homestead in Frankford for many years as a registered nurse, retiring in 1981. Mrs. St. Clair was a member of St. Monica's R.C. Church in Sussex and then became a member of Our Lady of the Lake R.C. Church in Sparta.

She was predeceased by her first husband, John Trichine, in 1954 and her second husband, Milton St. Clair, in 1968. She is also predeceased by her daughter, Patricia Williams and her brother, Madison Lewis.

Mrs. St. Clair is survived by her two daughters, Cecelia J. Trichine of Rockaway and Mary Lou Clark of Middletown, R.I.; her seven grandchildren, John and Michael Williams, Jennifer Odham, David Shepherd Jr., Scott Shepherd, and Maria and Michael Cardo; and her 10 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 2, 2008, at the Pinkel Funeral Home, 31 Bank St. (Route 23), Sussex. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at Immaculate Conception R.C. Church, 75 Church St., Franklin, at 9:30 p.m. Interment will take place at Immaculate Conception Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects to the family on Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2008, from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m., at the funeral home.
