Kenneth Knox Obituary

TORRINGTON - Kenneth Milo Knox, 76, passed away on Dec. 25, 2011, at West Haven Veterans' Hospital. He was the husband of the late Patricia Ann (Williamson) Knox, who passed away in 2009. Born in Penacook, New Hampshire. on June 30, 1935, he was the son of the late Milo and Ella (Jones) Knox.
At the age of 19, Ken enlisted in the Air Force and went on to serve in the Korean War. He worked as a tool and machine designer for Timex in Middlebury, retiring in 1994. He had been a member of the Torrington Elks Lodge and enjoyed working for Meals on Wheels.
Ken is survived by his sister, Janice Becker; two nieces, April Pfaender and Susan Cozza; a nephew, Ken Becker; two stepsons, Gregory Zacchio and wife, Holly, of Avon, and John Zacchio and wife, Jeanne, of Thomaston; a stepdaughter, Jennifer Speziale and husband, Rich of Winsted; and five step-grandchildren, Alex and Robby Zacchio and Michael, Nicole and Nicholas Speziale.
A graveside service with military honors will be held 10 a.m., Tuesday, Jan.10, 2012, at Hillside Cemetery, Torrington.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer's Association, CT Chapter, 2075 Silas Deane Highway, Suite 100, Rocky Hill, CT 06067.
