I had not thought about Ellen in so many years. I had been side tracked with college, growing up, and those little things that always seem to get in the way. Ellen was my singing instructor when I was younger. I remember being dropped off in Norwalk by my mom and singing with Ellen in her small apartment. She crossed my mind yesterday randomly while on my dinner break from work so I decided to google her. I was so saddened to hear of her passing and found it almost weird that the DAY she crossed my mind after so long was the same day this article was posted. I feel truly blessed to have known her and to have worked with her so closely. She shared so many memories of her exciting life as a singer and actress with me that I will never forget. Everytime I sing a Broadway tune I will think of you, Ellen. RIP <3

My uncle was Ronnie Graham. I stayed with them and my cousin Ronnie when Fiorello was on Broadway and Ellen used to let me stand in the wings and Tom Bosley would put his arm on my shoulder as he went out to perform. She was amazing as a singer and performer and really could fill a room. Ellen was warm and fun and so very very sweet. I will always treasure her memories and gifts she gave me of awakening me to show business, culture and creativeness. She let us use her ironing board upside down as a sled at central park because we had no sled. I loved her.
