I was so saddened to read of Dr. Loew's passing. I was a childhood friend of Andrea's and spent many years with their wonderful, loving family. I have reflected many times over the years about what a kind human being he was. Dr.Loew was my oldest son's pediatrician many years ago until we moved to AZ. I ran into Dr.and Mrs. Loew at a resort here in Scottsdale about 10 years ago and it was as if we had never skipped a beat....a wonderful heart and a great memory for people and experiences.
I was so very blessed to have had such a great man and family in my life.
Love and prayers to the entire Loew family...

Dr Lowe was not only our childrens pediatrician, but also my two oldest grandchildren. He was a dedicated doctor who cared about children. He saved my youngest daughter's life.
I am deeply saddened by the news. My sincere condolences to the Loew family.

I am so sorry for your loss. Dr. Loew was not only my children's doctor, but my husband's doctor as well. We really liked him, unfortunately we had to switch because of our insurance. Imagine my suprise when we were scrolling through the obituaries and there is a picture of my daughter when she was three or four...she is now 18. I totally remember taking that picture and it is also in Melissa's scrapbook.
Our prayers are with your family.

Dr. Loew was my pediatrician from 1966 until I was out of college. He was very kind, caring, and I knew when I left his office, I was on the road to recovery. I am saddened by this news. Condolences to his family.

I just saw this and I am so sad to hear this. Dr Lowe was a great man! He saved my life more than once as a child with severe asthma, allergies and eczema. He use to call and visit me at home. I still saw him while I was in college because I did not trust my health care by anyone else. Eventually I had to get an adult MD! What a great great guy!

I remember going to Dr. Loew's office on Dixie Highway starting in the kindergarten and continuing up to my high school years. His kind & gentle manner, along with his resonant voice, left a deep impression on me. I knew I would be feeling better soon after a visit with him... and those Dum-Dums certainly helped.
After I left the Chicago area, my father George would often speak fondly of his tennis buddy "Andy". I saw Dr. Loew for the last time at my Dad's memorial service 6 years ago. He seemed ageless.
I'm truly grateful to have Dr. Loew in my life.

Dear Rita and family,
I was saddened to her about Andy's death from Ed, and am so sorry about your loss. It's also a great loss to me, as Andy was such a kind and considerate friend and doctor. He saw my children through good health and some not so good. I'll always remember how he came to the house with a special vaporizer when my son, Michael had a bad case of brocnchitis. He was a good man, and we all cherished having him as a friend and a doctor.

Dr. Lowe was, is, and amazingly caring and kind doctor and man who treated my family with great compassion. He could manage to coax my brother out from under that table he had for a shot like no other, and treated our chicken pox in house (we caught them getting our measles shots--pretty sure they all planned that one). I'm sorry I was too young to ever tell him in person how much we all appreciated him.

I knew Dr Loew when I practiced at Ingalls as a new Ob/Gyn back in the early 90's. He was an inspiring physician, was always available and you could tell that he just loved taking care of multiple generations of families. My condolences to the Lowe family ; dad will be missed.

To Andrew Loew's family:
Beholdance and sympathies to you as Dr. Lowe was our family doctor too. He was always patient, thoughtful and kind when we went to see him and he would even come to the house when we could not get to his office. His bright sense of humor, his genuine concern for us and time for not being in a hurry made him feel like a member of our extended family.
We appreciate him as an outstanding human being and as our family doctor and we will keep him in our prayers.
Thank you Doctor Loew!

My family was very close to Dr. Loew and his family. I will always treasure the kindness he gave to his patients and their families especially to ours. My dad was also great friends with him. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family and I will always treasure Dr. Loew as my favorite doctor and most of all friend to me over the years as he watched me grow up. Love to everyone.

He was our doctor for all five of us O'Neil children, and our children as well. There are so many wonderful stories I could tell about Dr. Loew, not just from our family, but the families of friends as well. He was one of kind, a brilliant doctor, and a kind and wonderful man. He will be greatly missed.

I always remember Dr. Loew as being such a kind doctor. My brother and I were patients of his from 1959 until we were too old to be treated by him. When I had my son in 1980 there was no question of who we would use for our doctor.
I loved seeing and talking to him around Homewood.

Dear Family of Dr. Loew, please accept our deepest sympathy. Dr. Loew in his caring, gentle manner took wonderful care of all 8 of my parents' children-even when we were older! He was a Godsend to my mother who always relied on his expertise. I did not know he was a Holocaust survivor until today. May it comfort you to know that he was saved to save others. He was an extraordinary person and excellent doctor. Sincerely, Maureen O'Brien and Family-children of Alice and Earl O'Brien
