The time between Earth and Heaven is short. We will miss Kevin, but always remember a lasting good impression. Competitive and dedicated, with honesty and integrity. You can't beat that. He is number 1, somewhere beyond our comprehension. I pray for the family, for comfort and faith in the future.

I lost my own beautiful red headed son who was 27 at the time to horrific suicide. He was very depressed at the time because he had not been with his 3 year old son for 2 years. He started drinking when he lost his sister at the WTC in 2001 and never "recovered". You are in my prayers and thoughts. It will take a long, long time to accept his death. Your son was such a handsome man in the photo the Richmond Times published. No bond is as great as that between a parent and child. My deepest condolences are with you as you grieve.

To Kevin's family & friends I am so sorry for your loss. I briefly met Kevin while in North Carolina for Coca-Cola 600 weekend in 2002. He was quick with a smile & I remember thinking that his sunshine yellow Toys R Us shirt was the perfect color for a kid with such a bright smile. Kevin, you will be missed by many.

I am very sorry to hear about Kevin. He was a great guy to know. I met him at Mulligans in 2002. I finally gained up enough courage to go and speak to him one night. He was so down to earth and treated me like I was his best friend. I was trying to get into racing at the time and asked him how I should go about it cause I knew nothing of how to get started. He gave me Wayne's crew chief's number and told me to call him. Well I did but it didnt work out. I went back to him and he told me to go to Southside Speedway and that someone out there would need help and to mingle around. So I did and I have met alot of good people out there that would give there left arm to help you. I saw Kevin at a Busch race and it so happened he got off the truck from waving to the fans right were I was and I yelled out to him and he came right up to the fence and talked to me and remembered me from Mulligans. That was the kinda guy he was. I am really greatful to have known him.

Knowing that Kevin is truly gone is unfathomable. Though the last time Kevin and I spoke was a little over a year ago, just knowing I won’t run into him around town or get that random call is sad. Everyone has pointed out his remarkable smile… that will never be forgotten. I also will always remember Kevin being so polite and just being there; a genuine friend no matter how much time had passed. He was a “Good Ole’ Boy” and will truly be missed. His face and our memories together are etched in my heart forever. My prayers and deepest sympathy are extended to all of his family, may you all find peace in your heart knowing Kevin is safe.

I used to work at pearsons corner I got to know wayne and kevin in the cafe I use to sit and talk to them my son Gary and boo was in same grade as wayne they were great kids and I am glad to have met them. Kevin was always full of energy. I went to watch them when they raced the trucks and nascar. He always had a smile on his face and was so nice.I to have lost a son so I know your pain.you will all be in my prayers. Some time our faith can also be tried in times like this but as time goes by we know that god had a plan and some day we will get our answers.Kevin will suffer no more as he has found his peace. My thoughts and prayers are with your family in your time of grief. Michelle and I rode the same bus to school. I remember the first time when I met Kevin. I rode the bus home to play after school with Michelle. She introduced me to her "little brother". It wasn't until years later that I met Kevin again at Darlington in the garage. He always had a smile on his face. Will be greatly missed!

In My Pocket
I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.
My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.
They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.
Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.
But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.

May GOD wrap his arms around you and comfort you. We feel for everyone involved; parents, wife, family, friends and the whole Nascar community. I know this has to be hard, especially around a holiday. May you find comfort and strength in your prayers to the Lord. May you be blessed today and always and may the touch and love of GOD comfort you each and every moment! We would be there to give our condolences, love and hugs if we could, so please accept this as such. Kevin will be your guardian angel with the LORD standing beside him, guiding him and giving you the strength to carry on.
