My husband, Michael & I are in shock at this news. We just heard today because fortunately for us we have had no dental issues in the last 10 months. We have been seeing your father since the early ninety’s… so over 20 years. Our children are in the same age range as you and your brother, so there was always lots to catch up on when either one of us stopped to have work done. Dr. Depuy won my heart and my loyalty, when back in 1994 he went in to the office on a Sunday or a holiday, because my son, not quite 3 had run into another child and knocked loose his two front teeth. I think your whole family came into the office that day and he successfully glued Kevin’s teeth together so that he didn’t lose them until it was time. Even when we had a hard time paying our bill, he always trusted us to pay and helped us to make arrangements to pay within our budget. He was a fine person. Michael & he had fun comparing notes about sons playing football because Kevin played for Merrimack and Ethan played for Souhegan, although Kevin ultimately chose marching band over football. The rivalry continued when my son was accepted and went to WVU and you, Emily, were a graduate of Pitt. He was always so proud of both of you and we loved to hear the stories he would share with us.
We are deeply saddened, but know that you will have many great memories of your father. The world has lost not only a great dentist, but more importantly, a great man.
with love & sorrow, you and your family are in our prayers.

My family and I are so very saddened to hear of Mark's passing. He was truly the "salt of the earth." He made going to the dentist fun (now THAT'S talent!!) Most of all he was the kind of man who made a difference, put his patients first, dearly loved his family and home life, and set a great example for all of us. We miss you, Mark. Always, Melody and Robert Bergevin and family.

It is with the deepest of sadness that we heard today
of Mark's passing. It is hard to think that he was our
dentist, as he always felt like more of a friend - who
also checked our teeth while we visited with him.
It was always a pleasure to hear the latest about his
family and especially about his children who he was always
so very proud of.
A gentle, honest and straight-forward gentleman who
it was an honor to know.
May he now find companionship in the company of other
loving souls who are temporarily parted from those who
love and miss them so much. And may God's love surround his family and all those who miss his presence in their lives.

My family and I are shocked and deeply saddened to learn today of Mark's passing. He had been our dentist for many, many years and will be greatly missed. Unlike the patients of many dentists, I always looked forward to my visits with him because I knew we would talk about something interesting and different and he would make me laugh. He was a very caring and honest man, balanced in the way he approached and prioritized life. He made it clear that time with his beloved family was the most important thing -- he was so proud of his kids!
Mark, thank you for your excellent caring -- you will never be forgotten.
Wishing his loved ones healing and peace at this most difficult time.

I was a patient of Mark's before he set up his own practice - this was back when Vicki (Hi, dear!) was a charming young hygenist working there, too.
Mark made his mark on me, so to speak, when, in the middle of rummaging around in my mouth, we got into a discussion of the finer moments in the movie "Marathon Man." I knew then that this was no ordinary dentist but a man of rare and twisted wit who would be a fine person to remain acquainted with!
I'm sorry he's gone, he was a different person who added a grand touch of humor to any day. I'll miss my all too infrequent visits with him.
Pace, Mark.

We moved to Merrimack in 1996 and Dr. DePuy became our family dentist. When our children were small, he made the experience of visiting the dentist an enjoyable one.
I enjoyed my visits with Dr. DePuy - we discussed our children, college plans, politics and life in general. Patty and I even were able to convince him to get on the "bandwagon" and buy a wood pellet stove for his home.
Our deepsest sympathies and prayers go out to the DePuy family. Thank you for sharing your husband/father with us.

Please accept my deepest sympathies for Mark's passing. He was my dentist since the early 1990s at his brother Peter's suggestion. I always found him to be very personable, easy to talk to, and always willing to give me advice that would help me, not him. We used to talk about all manner of things during my visits: Peter (when I was at DEC), computers, high tech, Dilbert, crazy inventions for his office. I sometimes wished I had more dental work so I could come back for more visits. Even after I no longer worked near Merrimack, I kept coming back. I will miss him.

Our heartfelt sympathy goes to Vicki, Emily, Ethan, and Mark's entire family. Mark was a wonderful man with a gentleness and calmness that came through in every aspect of his being and his work. We loved the friendship that was shared between the families for many years, and always looked forward to seeing Mark to hear the latest happenings with Vicki and the kids. His kindness, friendship, warmth, and skill will be greatly missed by all who had the joy of knowing him. George, Pat, Kate, and Jen Doyle

My deepest sympathy to the Depuy family. I started going to Dr. D about 9 years ago and always looked forward to my appointments and hoped he'd have had too much coffee so he'd babble at me lol. He was also the first dentist my son would allow in his mouth, and they found a common interest in the Highland Games at Loon every year. They would talk about their favorite band, Albanac. He was SUCH a nice man, and my son and I will miss him very much.

My sincere condolences to the Depuy family. I was a patient of his for a number of years. He was a gentle giant of a man, regaling me with stories of his family, Pittsburgh sports teams, and just ordinary events going on locally. He actually made you look forward going to your dental appointments. A true gentleman who will be sorely missed.

I remember working with Mark before he started his practice. We worked together at Continental Cable and he was waiting to take his boards. His father was the pastor at the Baptist Church in Newton Centre. What a very nice person he was and a pleasure to have known. Carol Temperley Martin

My husband and I are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Dr. DePuy. I chose him as my dentist even before he opened his own practice and was at the dental office at The Commons in Merrimack. He was kind, compassionate and had a great sense of humor. He was someone we could always trust. Seeing him every 6 months was like reconnecting with an old friend. Our deepest sympathies to his wife, son and daughter. Mark will be greatly missed by many, many people in this community.
