Dear Helen -
I was so sorry to hear about Bob. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. We are still in Florida and will not be back in time to attend the service for Bob. Know that I will be thinking of you all.
Sincerely,
Karen

Dear Bobby,
Rest in peace my cherished, erstwhile friend. In the intervening decades we had unfortunately lost contact. However, I cherish our numerous times together, scintillating conversations and wonderful experiences.
Helena, you may not remember me, but you and Bobby epitomized empathy, civility and goodness. May you receive solace and strength in this most sad time.
