Brian McCarthy Obituary

BRIAN J. MC CARTHY HOBART, IN Brian J. McCarthy, age 56, of Hobart passed away Tuesday, September 30, 2008. Brian had been a lifelong area resident and a Hobart resident for the past 10 years. Brian retired from the EJ&E Railroad with 20 years of service and was an officer of United Transportation Union. He was an avid reader and followed current political events. Brian is survived by one brother, Kevin McCarthy of Las Vegas, NV; two sisters: Margaret McCarthy of Miller, IN and Sheila (Anthony) DeBonis of Hobart, IN; nephews: Michael DeBonis of Washington, DC, and Dan DeBonis of Chicago, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents: Philip and Roma McCarthy. Memorial contributions may be given to the charity of the donor's choice. Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 4, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. from Rees Funeral Home, 600 W. Old Ridge Road, Hobart, IN with Deacon Jamie Lewis officiating. Cremation will follow. Visitation Friday, October 3, 2008 from 3:00-8:00 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel. Call (219) 942-2109 or online at www.Reesfuneralhomes.com.
