RICHARD W. ZURAWIEC "DICK" "Z" SCHERERVILLE, IN
Richard W. "Dick" "Z" Zurawiec, age 71, of Schererville, IN, formerly of Calumet City, IL, passed away Wednesday, September 24, 2008. He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Diane (nee Zurawski); three children: Denise (Ronald) Kaminsky, Mark Zurawiec and Stephen Zurawiec; and two granddaughters: Samantha and Sophia Kaminsky. Preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Mary Zurawiec; and his sister, Marlene Degeneffee. A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2008, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Thomas More Church, 8501 Calumet Ave., Munster, IN, with Rev. Michael Yadron officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 9:30 to 10:00 a.m. at the church. Inurnment of cremains at Holy Cross Columbarium Niche in Calumet City, IL at a later date. Dick started his career at WNDU in South Bend, IN. "Z" retired as Director and Producer for WFLD FOX 32 in Chicago, IL. He was a former teacher at Columbia College and a U.S. Air Force Veteran. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Share with the Handicapped, P.O. Box 400, Rolling Prairie, IN 46371-0400. Arrangements by Anthony & Dziadowicz Funeral Home, Munster, IN.
