I always held my Uncle Babe in the highest regard. He was a great man who I respected very much. He was one of the main reasons I joined up with the United States Navy. I still remember how proud he was when I showed up at his house after comming home in my dress blues. I will miss him dearly.

What a great man! What a great life! What a sad loss. How could it be otherwise? Hammond has lost one of its best, that's for sure. Thankfully, Babe lives on in our memories because he made such a lasting impression on so many people.

Priscilla and I send our most sincere condolences. But we also send our thanks to Babe for his kindness and generosity and for that amazing smile and laughter.

David, your parents were always such good friends with my parents. Your dad continued to check in on my mom and dad. He was always kind hearted - with a laugh and a smile. I will always remember your family kindly in my heart. Deepest condolences.

David, Years ago your mother would come to my house to get her hair cut. A few times your father came with her. I remember thinking what a kind and gentle soul he was. My deepest sympathy to you.

David...Your Dad was always special to my heart. Somehow we had an internal connection, but I think Babe had that for many, many people in his life. He was rare and I will always cherish his memory and what he was in your life, my life and, most especially, in Eva's life. It was my extreme privilege to know him and he will be missed greatly. Me, Eva and our entire family join you and your family in Cherishing and Celebrating his life today and always....love....

I remember going into the hardware store with my late father John Rock, he shopped at Mueller's all the time a regular customer up until his un timley death in 1962. I used to enjoy looking around as he shopped. Downtown Hammond might be gone but my memory of PH Mueller and Sons remains fresh as if it were yesterday. So sorry to read about the loss of your loved one.

I remember the family and the hardware store so well. He and his wife were a credit to St. Tom and the community.
