Seth was the first person whom I met when I attended at the CUNY as a scholar of the Rotary Foundation from Japan in the summer of 1993. Despite my English was so horrible, he was very much kind for me to help settle down. He took me to the 2nd Avenue Deli and Synagogue, from both of which I learned so much. Sometimes he fixed my PC and invited me to the concert at Carnegie Hall and Passover dinner. I owe him so much but I could not do anything for him while his struggling with his illness since I went back to Japan. I feel so guilty about it. After almost 2 decades, I still miss him.And I hope his mom and a brother are also well.

Seth, you were one of the very few that welcomed me to FHHS, were kind and genuine. I will always cherish your memory and I am sure you are watching us from a bright star up above.

The Seth Palmer Memorial Fund account has officially been set up at Forest Hills High School and is ready to accept all donations, large and small...please make checks payable to The Seth Palmer Memorial Fund and send them in to Forest Hills High School 67-01 110 Street, Forest Hills, NY 11375, attention: Wendy Scherer...the goal again, depending upon how much money is collected, is to either fix the grand piano that is no longer used because it is broken, or buy a new one...if in fact there is money left over after that, we will be setting up a Scholarship Fund to help out a deserving graduating senior, perhaps with similar interests and/or character traits as Seth.
On behalf of Seth's mom Karen, and the rest of the Palmer family, I want to thank you all in advance for your kindness and generosity.

Please accept my deepest condolences for your loss. Seth was a wonferful, warm and caring individual. I have very fond memories of him back when we were in FHHS together and working on SING. It puts a smile on my face when I think of him playing the piano and helping me learn how to carry a tune. He was very funny, bright, talented and just a really a good guy. I spoke with him at length during our recent reunion and it was great to reconnect with him. He will be missed by many. With regards, Susan (Gross) Scharf

I have many fond memories of our childhood growing up. Our families spent many happy times together. I wish Karen, Seth, Shira and the entire family my deepest condolences. I trust that you have many fond memories to provide strength during this tough time and even put a smile on your face like the one I know Seth always shined on everyone he touched.

Karen, Alan, Sheera and the rest of the family.

Seth was a wonderful, thoughtful, caring person and he will be forever loved and missed. We grew up together and he was my best friend since we were 10. I have so many memories from childhood, teens, 20s and 30s that will always be so much a part of me. Not having him here anymore will leave an empty space in our hearts but he will always be a part of us. As long as he is in our thoughts part of him will always remain alive. My deepest condolences to all of you. Please lets keep in touch.

All our love,
Ed, Ilyssa and Samantha

Goodbye Seth. We knew each other in FHHS, and were room mates for the London trip with all the LH'ers. It was a fun time, and I had a great time hanging out with you and the gang. Oddly enough were almost room mates again, when we almost worked together at that resort in Montauk. It was great speaking to you. We will miss you and remember you in our hearts and prayers.

Seth was a childhood and family friend with whom my brothers and I shared many, many holidays and get-togethers. Although we've been out of touch for some time, he will be sorely missed. Our condolences to the entire family and may you be comforted by your warmest memories.

While Seth and I weren't the closest of friends we were friends nonetheless, I knew Seth in the FHHS days, I can still remember him banging away on the piano always with a smile on his face. I was so sorry that he couldn't make our 20th reunion; I really wanted him to be there.

To his family please know your son (and brother to some) was truly a gifted person. He touched many in many ways. Reading some of the other comments only shows proof of how he was truly loved all around the globe.

In the coming days I will be dedicating space on our fhhs alumni website. http://www.fhhsclassof86.org I will invite the family and whomever else has pictures past or present to please post them in the photo section of the website.

Thank you and God Bless.

I did not really know Seth, but I knew of him at FHHS. Many of my friends were close to him. Although we didn't know each other well, I still knew that he was an intelligent and sweet guy. I feel so terrible to learn of his passing. I know that Seth will be missed by all he came in contact with in his short life.

There's so little I can say to Karen, Alan, Sheera and the rest of the family that I haven't already expressed on the blog. Let me just be formal and say that Seth was a fine, fine man and a cherished longtime friend, and to please accept my very deepest sympathies on his untimely passing.

To Karen, Alan and Sheera,

My heart was breaking today as I walked up Amsterdam Ave.

To lose such a wonderful, vibrant brother and son, and to me, such a beautiful gift of a friend. I am better for having known him.

My thoughts are with you, as ever.
