My sincerest condolences to Linda Allard, the Gallen, Scheriff, Megibow, and Runyon families. I was honored to work for the Ellen Tracy family for 14 yrs. Under the direction of Joe, I was lucky to be included in parties, dinners, and shopping sprees (lol Tracy). Mr. G you will be missed dearly. You have lead one of the most repectful and kindest families I know. I have become a dear friend of the Scheriff family and will treasure their friendship for a life time.
Mr. G may you rest in peace.
Love,

I am truly sorry to hear of Herb Gallen's passing. If you were one of the lucky ones to work for him he was one of those people whose presence was always there whether you were with him and Linda at Ellen Tracy or you were out on your own . He once told me " If you spend a month with me it will be like a year's experience with anyone else" How true. I wish I had spent more time with him.

It is with great sadness that I pay my respects to Mr. Gallen, Linda Allard and family. I've known Mr. Gallen thru my wife Betsy Burbank, whom adored Mr. Gallen during her tenure with Ellen Tracy. My fondest memory was Thankgiving Day some years back in NYC sharing a Redskins vs Giants showdown on the TV with the Ellen Tracy "family". While the ocassion was celebrating a Thankxgiving dinner, Mr. Gallen, myself and other football fans were gathered around the TV watching the ballgame. Linda was yelling "where is Herb, where is Herb?" Herb and the handful (I believe Daria was the only woman watching with us)were most content watching a thanksgiving football game, trying our best to stay in the background of all the guests... It did not take too long for Linda to find us, and she smiled. Herb was one of the boys.
