Estevan Tafoya Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Estevan Manuel Tafoya, age 31. Estevan is survived by his mother, Bethany Graham; his father, Steve Tafoya; his step-father, Tom Graham; and his step-mother, Judith Martin-Tafoya. He also left behind two younger sisters, Addison Graham and her fiancee Tanner Campbell; and Emmary Graham, whom he adored and was so proud of. He will be forever missed by his grandparents, Ernestino and Harriett Tafoya, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Estevan was an avid reader and lover of animals. There are no words to express the grief that we are all feeling for the loss of such a promising young man. Estevan attended the Albuquerque Academy and earned his bachelor's degree in Business Marketing at the College of William and Mary. While at William and Mary, he studied in Sevilla, Spain. He then attended graduate school at George Washington University. At the time of his passing he was employed at Alchemy Consulting Group and enjoyed working there, immensely.
A Celebration of Estevan's life will be held on Friday, January 18, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. at FRENCH - Lomas. In honor of Estevan's spirit, everyone is invited to wear their favorite superhero t-shirt. Please visit our online guestbook for Estevan at

I am devastated, and the news reached me so late. I trust you are kickin it up there, with that infectious smile of yours. Though the years and miles and very different adventures made us lose touch over the years, you have left such a special Estevan-shaped place in my heart. Your soul is so full of kindness and resilient joy that you were always so ready to share. You exemplified friendship to me and so, so many others with your loyalty and listening and presence when it mattered. I send you hugs and I am sorry, truly sorry, that I didn't keep in touch and took it for granted that we'd catch up one day. I love you, my friend. And I treasure the memories we made together. You will forever be my favorite dance partner (my husband won't mind me saying this ... kid can't keep a beat).

I am very sad to hear of this young man's passing. He seemed to be very intelligent and motivated and loving. Amen to him, as I can see him rising into the arms of Christ Jesus. May Our Lord hold you all close during this time.

My heart breaks for all of you. A parent should never have to outlive a child. My daughter is the same age. I used to joke with Steve about them dating when they grew up. Please know you ALL are in my heart and my prayers are big.

Estevan, I will always remember your smile and the sweet and gentle soul you gifted us with. I didn't see you often but I watched you with pride as you grew up and became such a wonderful man and your passing leaves an immense hole within our family. My heart goes out to all who are touched by his loss and lots of love and prayers to Beth, Steve, Tom, Addy, and Emmy.

To the family of Estevan. My husband and I were devastated to hear of the passing of Estevan who was the best man at our son Robbie Wnukowski's wedding. He was always such a warm and joyful person. So glad that he was a part of our son's life. Please accept our heartfelt condolences.
