ARTHUR F. DULONG

1924 - 2014

DuLONG, Arthur F. 89 of Norwell formerly of Medford passed away Tuesday, May 13, 2014. The son of the late Arthur and Theresa (Dalio) DuLong, he was born in Cambridge on October 22, 1924. Arthur proudly served in the US Army during WWII. He received a Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Franklin Technical Institute and had been employed as a Loss Control Engineer for Lumber Mutual Fire Ins. Co. He was a copper craftsman, artisan, skilled woodworker, cabinet maker, and carpenter. Arthur was also a Boy Scout Leader for Troup 76 and a member of the St. Helens Church Choir. Arthurs favorite quote was Enthusiasm + know how = excellence. Arthur is survived by his wife Joyce (Dibbern) DuLong and their children, Stephen R. DuLong and his wife Dianne of Onset, MA, Patricia A. Gravel and her Husband Jocelyn of Manchester NH, and Brian A. DuLong and his wife Melissa of Carrollton, VA. Arthur is also survived by his sister Pauline T. Mooney of Baltimore, MD and his brother Robert A. DuLong and his wife Lin of Palm Coast Florida. Arthur is survived by 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Emma Iannelli and grandfather to the late April Marie Hunt. Visiting hours in the Sullivan Funeral Home, 551 Washington St, Rte 53 in HANOVER on Friday from 4-8 PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 10 AM at St. Helens Church, 383 Washington St, Rte 53 in Norwell. Burial will follow at Washington St Cemetery in Norwell.
