James Hession Obituary
James William Hession, Sr. of Odenton, MD, passed away on Wednesday, December 3, 2014 in Baltimore, MD. James was born on September 23, 1927 in Boston, MA and was the son of the late Daniel and Catherine (O'Brien) Hession. James was a loving, husband, father and grandfather. James is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Mary M. Hession; four loving children, James W. Hession, Jr., Laurie Rowe, Richard Hession and Mary Elizabeth Blow; five siblings, Barbara Kelly, Eleanor Reilly, Robert Hession, Dan Hession and Malcom Hession and eleven cherished grandchildren. James was preceded in death by two sisters, Rita Huntoon and Dorothy Bolduc. The family will receive friends at the Donaldson Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A. 1411 Annapolis Road Odenton, MD on Thursday, December 11, 2014 from 2:00 to 4:00pm and 6:00 to 8:00pm. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, December 12, 2014 at Our Lady of the Fields Catholic Church, 1070 Cecil Avenue, South, Millersville, MD at 11:00am. Interment services will begin at 2:30pm on Friday, December 12, 2014 at Maryland Veterans Cemetery Crownsville, MD. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105. Dear Mary and family,
We are so saddened by your loss. To my granddaughter, Delaney, Jim was the "spy" in her video presentation. She really enjoyed Interviewing him, and she learned more about her grandpa Lou's military career. You and Jim were my parents' favorite people from the Army days. You are part of our extended family...always. We love you and wish you strength at this difficult time. Jim will be missed by all whoever met him. May your family love and faith give you support.
