He was preceded in death by his father, Willard Detty, step-father, Gene Dickerson and step-mother, Thelma Detty.

Cam graduated from Chillicothe High School in 1964. He proudly served in the United States Marine Corps (1966-1968). He was a Vietnam Veteran and was awarded the Purple Heart.

After 40 years he retired from I.B.E.W., Local 575. He was a member and Past Post Commander of American Legion Post 62, AmVets Post 4; Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 108; Eagles Aerie #600, served for several years on the Ross County Labor Council and was a Kentucky Colonel.

Cam enjoyed deer hunting, mushroom hunting, and playing golf. He will be missed by his family and friends.

Pap loved watching his grandkids, Jill and Drew, participate in their school activities. Instead of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Paint Valley Local Schools, 7454 US Rt. 50, Bainbridge, OH 45612, to support cross country, band, girls basketball, track and softball.
