Dear Nourse Family,
This is David Paris, writing froom the UK on behalf of my family and especially my dear late parents, whom I know treasured their relationship with you so much. I am so sorry for Carl's passing but there have been few others, if any, whom I have known who have brought more joy, accomplishment and care to a lifetime than did he. I am blessed to have known him as well as having known the rest of your family - we all know that he is being watched over carefully and I hope that this brings you some solace in this hour. Carl was one of most interesting men to cross my path, and the impact he had on the little radio station in Westerville is without precedent in broadcast history. My sincere condolences to Mary, Dick and the rest of his family; always the pride of his life.

To the Entire Nourse Family---Carl will always be thought of as a brilliant, humble, kind, generous and caring man---who loved his family, his friends and his community. He lives on through all of you as his life and his stories will be shared with all future generations. My deepest sympathies, Harvey

Hi Dick, I just heard the news and I'm sorry for your loss.
He was a great person and so glad that I was able to know him over the years. You will follow in his shoes (footsteps) very well. He was a kind caring person and with his reflections will only make you shine even more. He's in a higher better place now and will be missed for sure. God bless you and your family.

Dear Mary, Dick and family - Carl was one of the most gentle men I've ever known but mixed with a strong business sense and a little stubborn streak thrown in. I truly enjoyed the three years working for him at WBBY which gave me many radio tales to tell. As I read his obituary, what a legacy he has left. My condolences.

So sad. I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Nourse back in 2000 and 2001. I was the Aquatics Director at Camp Lazarus. We were working with several business owners in the central Ohio area to raise funds for several projects on camp. The Nourse family picked "my pool" for their project and replaced the old crumbling pool with a shiny new one! The day we were trying to "open" the pool was crazy! I was working with the Ranger to coordinate the last minute finishing projects, trying to watch the supply delivery, work with the Del Co Health Inspector and trying to get the pool vacuumed before the inspector left so we could get the "all clear" to actually open. I was going crazy trying to get the ancient vacuum pump to work, but it kept cutting out, loosing its prime or just stopping for no apparent reason. While I was fighting with the stupid pump, a shadow fell over me and a voice asked if I was having trouble with the pump. I quickly and distractedly explained that the pump was extremely old and often difficult to operate. The ranger had "fixed" it several times the year before and it was just not fixable any more. I was so distracted I didn't even realize the shadow belonged to Carl until I saw brand new pump was being off loaded from the pool supply truck that was deliverying our chemicals. I was totally shocked... I was speechless and that doesn't happen very often. I was and still am very grateful for the Nourse family's gifts to Camp... I am so sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you! - Lifeguard Liz
