Daris Fent Obituary

Fent Daris P. Fent, age 23, of Nancy, passed from this life on Thursday, November 12, 2015, at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. Daris was born in Columbus, Ohio, on April 26, 1992, to Patrick D. Fent and Melissa Rippel Fent Dye. He was a 2010 Graduate of Southwestern High School. Daris was a four year veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He loved to sing and play guitar, both acoustic and electric. Daris was a car enthusiast, and loved to work on cars. He enjoyed working out at the gym. He was a member of White Oak Baptist Church, of Nancy. He is survived by his parents, Patrick D. Fent of Grove City, Ohio, and Melissa Dye of Somerset, and their spouses, Casey Fent and James Dye; his brothers, Nevin Fent of Somerset, and Austin Copper of Grove City, Ohio; his sisters, Macey Dye and Jaelyn Dye of Somerset, and McKinley Fent of Grove City, Ohio; his paternal grandparents, Dale (and Brenda) Fent of Mansfield, Texas, and Millie Fent of Nancy; his maternal grandfather, Art Rippel (and Wanda Summers), of Somerset; his fiancé of three years, Erin Cottrell of Somerset; his uncle, Jeff (and Leisa) Fent, of Columbus, Ohio; his aunt, Stacy (and Troy) Riggs of Lancaster, Ohio; and his nieces and nephews and many, many friends. Preceding Daris in death is his brother Zachery Fent, and his maternal grandmother Karen Rippel. Visitation will be on Tuesday, November 17, 2015, from 2-6 p.m., in the SOUTHERN OAKS FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL. A Celebration of the Life of Daris P. Fent, will be held on Tuesday evening, at 6 p.m., in the funeral home chapel, with Bro. Isaiah Super and Bro. Alan Fisher officiating. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, November 19, 2015 at 2 p.m., in the Glen Rest Cemetery, in Reynoldsburg, Ohio. Pallbearers will be Kyle Stone, James Jones, Jakob Maybrier, Heath Ehrsam, Shawn Johnson, Jacob Hopson, Mitchell Wasson, Austin Copper, Brian Perry and Brent Perry. Military Honors will be conducted by the V.F.W. Post 9473, of Reynoldsburg, Ohio. Donations may be made to the Wounded Warriors, Military Muscle and the Pulaski County Sheriff's Fight Against Drugs Education Program. Southern Oaks Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements for Daris P. Fent.
