RIVERA, LUGO, GISELLE March 13, 1952- July 5, 2014 Giselle was born in New York City, she traveled with her parents until they settled in Miami, Florida. She passed away peacefully, on July 5, 2014 at her home with her loved ones by her side as she had requested. She is survived by her husband Benny Rivera and son Benny Adrian Rivera. Giselle had a career in nursing of more than 45 years and was still working at her profession until she became ill. She succumbed to Cancer and was very hands on, up until the end with all aspects of her treatment. She dictated what, when, and how she wanted things done. She was a force to be reckoned with. Being a nurse she knew exactly what to expect and was very brave up until the end. Her legacy to us all was to be brave and face life full-on and never look back. Her final request was to be cremated and have her ashes scattered at sea with only immediate family in attendance. The family will request a mass in her name (to be announced) and asks that in lieu of flowers, send donation memorials in her name to the cancer Research. Giselle will forever be in our hearts and remembered for her beauty, inside and out.
