It's been a year and it seems like only yesterday we were all together enjoying our lives and taking for granted how precious life is. You have made me realize what is really important in life and not to waste any of it. Our cousins, Vivian and Lourdes made a very valid point, last year they (we) were grieving your loss and this year we are celebrating the birth of a new member of the family; Audrey Vivian (Lourdes Margarita's and Rob's baby girl.) So the circle of life continues. Tonight the family will gather and pray for you and remember you and tell all our stories (we have many, you were a funny, happy, intelligent and wonderful person) Happy first year in Heaven, we miss you every day. I feel you every day and all the family misses you. Till we meet again.....

Happy Birthday to my sweet cousin Giselle. As usual the joke is on us, FRIDAY THE 13TH. OK so we are going to grant your wish and scatter your ashes tomorrow. We will try to make it a celebration of life as you wanted, but know that we will all be trying to cope with our sorrow, by laughing on the outside, but crying o the inside. You left a tremendous void in our lives, and no matter how much you wanted us to Not grieve and carry on with our lives without you, it is very hard to do and we all miss you, more each day. I feel your presence every day especially when your sweet boy comes to visit me. Just as we did together your son and I commiserate about our troubles and problems. I try to give him good advice, but there will never be another you, you were our Guru. You always had good advice and I made fun calling you Oprah, but now I realize how wise you were. We will always have wonderful memories and remember the good times, as we celebrate a life well lived, although it was way to soon to let you go. Happy first birthday in heaven.

Hi Cuz, Missing you more each day. Today especially since you were always there to comfort me, the anniversary of Eric's passing. In the great mystery of life, I cannot comprehend, why you had to go instead of me. I was ready and live for the day I can be reunited with my son. I am so grateful for the comfort I have in your son, BennyAdrian. He is the light of my life and always makes me smile, just being around him. He went with me to the cemetery to take flowers to Eric and the rest of the family. We always talk about you and whenever I remember one of our stories I tell him. He says he is thinking of starting a journal because he thinks the stories are funny and he can't believe what a nutty family we are, ha.ha. Love and miss you, more each day. My dearest cousin Gi, spent the day with your boys today and feel blessed that I am able to give them some comfort and tell the all the wonderful stories of our long and beautiful relationship, as cousins, and best friends. We went to a special mass in your honor today at St. Matthews Catholic Church, Held in your honor requested by your friend Linda Relyea. Hoping she reads this and knows how grateful we all are for her kindness in doing this. After the mass both Benny and Carlos went to work and BennyAdrian stayed with me and my mom and helped us with the groceries. Believe it or not we even had a few laughs, remembering your goofiness and how much you LOVED.... to shop (not) and COOK (not). ha, ha. BennyA is becoming quite a cook and was choosing what he will make for his dad's dinner tonight. You would be so proud of the man he has become overnight. We are amazed at his maturity and strength through all of this. To me he will always be a little boy and I will always treat him like my own. As you know, I adopted him from birth, but you wouldn't give him to me. ha, ha. Today he gave me such joy, asking if he can call me Titi Sandee, I am honored and blessed that he considers me his TITI!!!. Be assured that he will always have me to love and comfort him and although there will never be a replacement for you, I'm glad to be second best. Thank you for this wonderful gift. He is a treasure and your legacy is the wonderful young man you created.

Giselle, as I am writing this to you tears are running down my face. These are tears of sorrow, but also joy of the wondeful memories that I have of you. I do not know if I ever told you that you were my role model. You always gave great advice for the smallest and the largest of my worries. I always admired your strength throughout every adversity that came your way. You were the exemplary nurse that I always and will strive to be. I will never forget your interesting stories about nursing during the "Nightingale Era". Your love and compassion was something so natural and beautiful. I know right now you are in heaven accompanied by beautiful sister, Kares. Thank you for all the wonderful memories. I love you, always will.

I met Giselle many years ago thru her cousin Sandy, and I give thanks to God for this friendship, even though we didn't see each other often. Our prayers are with Giselle, Benny, Benny Jr. and the rest of the family. Giselle left but will reunite with her love ones when God calls us to his side. Don't be sad, don't embrace yourself in pain for the coming years, on the contrary continue with faith and hope in her behalf, live your life and continue doing the things as before. Felt your presence today at the North Miami Surgical Center, watching over me and making sure those doctors knew what they were doing. My cataract surgery went well and Dr. Jaffee knew you were watching. This time I wasn't worried that you would paint a mustache on me while I was sleeping. ha,ha. All the staff came over to say how much you are missed and that it's just not the same there without you. Your are missed, more each day, but we know you are at peace and resting. God bless. So saddened by the news. It was too soon for her to transition but I'm glad to have spent some time with her (rare appearance) at Peace River this year. May her sweet memory bring comfort to all her loved ones during this difficult time. She will remain in my thoughts and prayers.

I see this beautiful face of my dear cousin and life long best friend and it is still so very hard to accept. Only by the grace of God can we, her family accept that GI is no longer with us. We are consoled by the fact that she no longer suffers and is at peace.I will always miss you!!!! My love to Dear Benny and Sweet Benny Adrian.
