Harold Esch Obituary
Wacousta
Harold Esch, age 82 of Wacousta, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, passed away peacfully on June 16, 2015 surrounded by his family. Harold was born May 1, 1933 in Eagle, Michigan to the late Albert and Mary (Miller) Esch. He served in the United States Army in the Korean War. Harold was a proud veteran. He married his devoted wife of 57 years Loretta (Pohl) and raised 6 children. Harold retired from Garlock Equipment. During his retirement Harold enjoyed traveling, hunting, fishing, playing the guitar, singing, the casino and spending time with family and friends.
He is preceded in death by son, Roger; brothers Louie and Edward; sister Leona. He is survived by his wife Loretta; children, Mark (Maria), Paul (Vicki), Ann (Chuck) Hanlin, Carolyn (James) Pock and Darrell (Nicole) Esch; daughter-in-law, Dee Esch; grandchildren Rachel, Michael, Jessica (Dan), David, Johnathan, James, Melissa (Joe), Jennifer, Daniel, Scout, and Wyatt; great grandchildren, Aurora, Gabriel, Lilian, Joseph, Jacob and one on the way; brothers, Mike and Arnold (Annabelle); sisters, Regina McWilliams, Alice and Agnes Esch.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by The Reverend Fr. James Eisele Friday, June 19, 2015, 11:00am at St. Michael Catholic Church, Grand Ledge. Rite of Committal will follow with military honors at Wacousta Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday 2-4pm and 6-8pm at the Holihan-Atkin Funeral Home, Grand Ledge with a Scripture Service at 7pm. Memorial contributions may be given to St. Michael Catholic Church or Hospice House of Mid-Michigan. Share your memories and condolences online at www.holihanatkin.com

Loretta, I'm so very sorry to read of Harold's passing. I still recall the fun memories you shared with us in the mailroom. It's the best memories that help us through the difficult times. Hugs and prayers to you!
