Senator Blake was a super fine gentleman and gracious statesman in his capacity as a North Carolina State Senator. I wired with him on several issues and it was always a pleasure to work and be with this super-fine gentleman. I remember some joyful times in the Leislative Snack Bar with Senator Blake and Senator Jerry Tillman and others. My deepest sympathy to his family and may he rest in peace.
