Michael MATTALIAN Obituary
Michael, 51 of Manahawkin formerly of Hackensack passed away peacefully on January 29, 2014, with his dog Auggie at his side. Before retiring Michael worked for Bergen County Utilities, Little Ferry. He was a Marine Corps. veteran, serving from 1980-1984, receiving a Marine Corps. Meritorious Mast. He was a 1980 graduate of Hackensack High School, and a volunteer at the Ocean County Soup Kitchen. Mike was an avid golfer, hunter (especially with Uncle Mike) and fisherman. Beloved husband of Karyn (nee Schron). Dearest step-father of Jamie Schron of Toms River. Loving son of Patricia (nee Saulino) Mattalian of Lodi and her late husband Hackensack Police Lt. Anthony Mattalian. Cherished brother of Dean and Cindy Mattalian both of Hackensack. Dear brother-in-law of Bonnie. Favorite uncle of Anthony. Dearest friend of the late Warren Madsen, and blessed with many friends and relatives. Funeral Tuesday 8:15 AM at Santangelo Funeral Home, 300 N. Main St., Lodi, then to Holy Trinity R.C. Church, Hackensack for a 9:30 AM Funeral Mass. Interment George Washington Memorial Park. Visitation Monday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Condolences/Directions santangelofuneralhome.com.
