Kyle Samuel THOMAS Obituary
THOMAS, Kyle Samuel

Kyle Samuel Thomas, 23, of Austin, TX lost his 13-month battle with cancer at 8:35 a.m. on January 23, 2014. He leaves behind his beloved mother, Clara Santa Ana Thomas; his father, Dennis Walter Thomas; his big brother, Justin Daniel Thomas; grandparents, many aunts, uncles, and cousins, as well as a multitude of friends and colleagues.

Kyle's easy going nature, kind heartedness, and generosity made him such a great friend to so many, and his razor sharp intellect and quick wit made him so interesting and fun. From early childhood, Kyle was outgoing, spontaneous, and unafraid. He took advantage of his natural attributes by playing football as a youth, both defensive and offensive lines. Kyle was a die-hard fan of both the Longhorns and the Cowboys, and in addition to sports, NASCAR was another of his loves. He had ambitions of becoming a sports journalist, a profession for which he was perfectly suited. He was also the strongest person that many of us have ever known, and his strength and bravery in the face of insurmountable odds will be a lasting inspiration to so many, even people of which he was not aware. To know Kyle at any point in his short 23 years was to be blessed, and most of us have been changed forever. We will all hold fast to our precious memories of broad smiles and bear hugs from the sweetest of gentle giants. We miss you dearly Kyle, but we know that we will see you again!

A Memorial Service and Rosary will be held at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, 2620 S Congress Ave, Austin, Saturday, February 1, 2014, 7:00 p.m. Memorials and guestbook online at www.wcfish.com
