I served with Ken in 2nd platoon,
Aco 1/75th RGR. We also attended the same ranger school class (1-82). He was a good friend, always straight forward and a hard worker.

I knew Ken while serving serving in Alpha Company, 1st battalion, 75th Airborne Rangers. I was a young private at the time. Great man, sharp, kind, yet vicious as a Ramger! He is missed by all of us in 3nd platoon!

To the Conaway Family,

I am sorry to learn of Ken's passing. Ken was an excellent Army Airborne Ranger and he and I served in the same platoon in Savannah, GA at Hunter Army Airfield in the early 1980s (2nd Platoon, Alpha Company, 1st Ranger Bn., 75th Infantry - Airborne).

Ken was my roommate for a year, and he was widely respected and depended upon by everybody. He was a great man and a great Ranger. I remember his cars, a 70s Camaro and I know he had a '55 or '57 Chevy as well.

Mrs. Conaway:
I'm not sure if you will remember me but I attended school with Kenny from junior high through high school. I always considered Kenny to be a great friend. He and I kept in touch for several years after that and after he left the Army but had not been in touch for a long time. I was deeply saddened to hear about his death. I pray for God's grace and strength for you and your family. I'll always have great memories of fun times with Kenny and I'm sure you will too.

There are no words that will come anywhere close to ease the feeling of a broken heart. I pray that God will give you the comfort that I know He offers during a time when nothing seems right and there is no way to understand why these things happen. Just know that you are being thought of, prayed for, and loved by family and friends even if we are not with you. Things will get better with time even though these words do not give comfort now. Broken hearts may never mend, but memories will become precious. Karen and I, Greg and Anne will have you in our hearts. We love you.
