Rupert Martinez Obituary
Rupert I. Martinez, age 73, born in Torreon, NM and a resident of Albuquerque, passed away Thursday, August 04, 2016 at home with his family by his side.
Mr. Martinez is survived by his wife of fifty-three years, Estella M. Martinez; sons, Gino Martinez, Gabriel J. Martinez and wife, Dorothy; sister, Maria Socorro Garlick; grandchildren, Julian, Marissa, Gabrielle, Parnell, Rayond, Raedelle, Darnell, Sasha, Roderica, and Rayford; and great grandchildren, Isaac, and Ava.
Mr. Martinez was preceded in death by his daughter, Geraldine C. Martinez; sister, Dora Garcia; and his parents, Silverio and Isabel Martinez.
Visitation will be Monday, August 08, 2016 at St. Anne Catholic Church, 1400 Arenal Rd. SW from 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. by Deacon Michael Montoya. Final visitation will be Tuesday, August 09, 2016 at St. Anne Catholic Church from 8:30 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Earl Lukesh, Robert Ortiz, Jerry Garlick, Art Murphy, Raymond Thomas, and Parnell Bahe. Honorary pallbearer will be Julian Martinez.
